It's day 6, I'm frustrated, I thought I would have seen results by now - something - anything???
I'm taking more and more milk everyday, cause my "system" is not moving well, so I'm getting more and more bloated everyday. In short - I wanna quit.
Today I think I will have achieved 7 qts, maybe a little more by bedtime. I have rested for most of the day, but here I am in front of the computer :)
Lets see, what else? My tongue is still coated, and I still have an icky taste. My trips to the bathroom have increased - duh, so has my milk - more than double what I started with.
I hope next post will be a happier one.....

Dull, with a capital "D"
Well, it's Day 5 of milk and I have been trying to "be good" and stay in bed and rest. Talk about BORING! I was feeling rotten enough prior to the diet to wish I was in bed, no I wanna get up. I know about the grass being greener blah blah blah...
OK, down to business.
I "fasted" on fruit and water for 2 days and 2 night prior to starting with the milk. I ate apples, oranges, dried figs and dried prunes. This part went fine, except I was a little irritable
First of All....
I don't like milk - haven't drank it since I was a small kid - when my Mom made me, I haven't had cold cereal for just as long, although I would eat hot cereal with a little milk and a lot of sugar on it occasionally. Here it goes...
Day 1 - I tried to start with 4 qts but I couldn't fit all of my 32 "doses" in , so I ended up with 3 qts this day. I had a horrible taste in mouth, and I really didn't like the taste of the milk either. I just took milk every half hour and guzzled it down in one gulp (4oz). By afternoon my tongue was coated and I mean COATED - I tried to brush it off with my toothbrush - no such luck. My stomach has felt better today, only "poofed" a little by late afternoon. It's soft though, not hard and painful. Let's just say the reccomendation to have a toilet close to bed is a good one - especially if you think you are going to rest on this diet, um, urination : frequent.
Today I chased every glass of milk down with a gulp of water, I guess you are not supposed to, but I 'm taking baby steps here.
Day 2 - Got 4 qts down today. I'm aching (muscles) and have a slight headache. Today my stomach hurts and I feel a bit tired. I'm reading a lot to pass the time, maybe that's the cause of the headache? There's a metallic taste in my mouth but the coated tongue is getting better. By the end of the day my stomach is better and my headache is gone. Had a short nap today - about and hour and a half. I've been having the daily warm/hot bath and I think I'm detoxing through my skin, there is balck, not browny greyish like dirt, but black sediment in the tub - heavy metals, could it be?

Issues with the veins

.............................................................................
Varicose veins and spider veins, and a close-up too, lovely, I know......
Red Face

When I was a teenager I called myself "rudolph" because I had such a red nose. Even when I was in my very early twenties with only only 2 children, it was mostly my nose that was red~obviously it has "spread".
When I'm pregnant, it gets worse, really bumpy and very sore. Even now, it's a little better, I've been using Seabuckthorn Seed Oil on it twice a day for about 3 or 4 months. Still, sometimes it burns, and is very sensitive. I normally wear makeup when I go out (Once a week, or so) but it doesn't hide it perfectly.
~ no worries, I wear homemade, mineral make-up.
The Incredible Bloat

This is first thing in the morning, not perfectly flat but wait to see what my belly looks like by evening, I'll post that pic later. I've got some serious bloating going on here.

And here is the evening shot. No, I'm not pushing belly out - it pushed itself out. It doesn't just look bad it hurts too.
Infirmities...
Okay, so here is a list of some of those infirmities I am trying to overcome:
systemic candida albicans
acute abdominal pain - every time I eat, I have a "stomach ache"
elimination difficulties, ei. constipation, colitis
hypothyroidism
adrenal fatigue
celiac sprue
chronic rosacea (18yrs)
varicose veins, legs and hemorrhoids
spider veins
general fatigue
emotional exhaustion
stinkiness- excessive sweating that wreaks
thinning hair
dry, cracked skin
tooth decay - my mouth aches constantly, I do have some mercury fillings, but I'm not willing to get anymore.
well, there are probably more, but this is good for now.

Preparing for the diet...
Well, today my sweet husband took pictures of my obvious infirmities, so I could share both before and after pictures with you all. They aren't the prettiest pics, that's for sure, but here's hoping some prettier ones follow.
The cow has freshened, and my raw milk awaits me. I'm attempting a "The Milk Diet" by Charles Sanford Porter. This means I take nothing by mouth except milk (water is permitted if I need it - but presumably I won't). It also means that I am to have complete rest - I have both a large and a young family - so I will do my best. I am going to take about a gallon per day for starters - taken a little each half hour. There is a method of making sure you are taking the right amount of milk. It is: stools too hard - not enough; stools too soft (diarrhea) - too much. Sounds simple - we shall see...
I am to have a bath every evening (from what I've read about the detoxifying principals of this diet - I'll need it).
So other than that, I need some old comfy bed clothes- so I can throw the putrefied ones away and a soft bed - I should be good to go....
Now, we'll upload some of these delightful "before" pictures.....
